This project involved diamond drilling holes through 225mm thick composites of reinforced concrete slab steel decking. The 100 - 300mm in diameter holes were drilled over the course of six floors. Other diamond drilling included 30mm in diameter holes through reinforced concrete walls to a depth of 225mm. The nature of project meant that Downs Construction had to minimize the water used during drilling to protect the surrounding area from water damage.
