Downs Construction worked over a 2-year period diamond drilling under the client's direction. This included drilling 150mm in diameter holes through 500mm reinforced concrete floor slabs to allow pipes to pass from floor to floor. The client also requested stitch drilling through 550mm thick reinforced concrete floors and 30mm anchor holes through reinforced concrete walls to allow the fixing of resin anchors.

An operation we carried out multiple times on this site was the drilling of 150mm in diameter holes through 350mm thick reinforced concrete walls at angle of 55 degrees. This was completed off scaffold to allow service pipes to be connected.
